Rambling and Real Ale (with dogs).

Hi, My name is Pete and welcome to my site. If your like me and love to spend your days in the countryside rambling up hills and finish your day (or have your lunch break) drinking real ale in a pub, and you have a dog, (or two ) then your on the right site. (DOGS ARE NOT COMPULSARY).

I will be checking out the places where you can walk your dog(s) and then take your dog(s) into a real ale pub. I will also be checking out any Accommodation that allows dogs in walking area's.

I hope you enjoy looking round the site and If you have any suggestions, comment or anything you would like to see on the site you could go to my forum and let me know.

Introduction

My favourite area's that I like to walk in are the PEAK DISTRICT, LAKE DISTRICT, and YORKSHIRE DALES, which are the area's I will be writing about the most, so if you also like them keep checking this Web site.

Some of my favourite place's to take my dogs and go walking are, Clapham, Grinton (near Reeth) and Grassington which are in the Yorkshire Dales, Bakewell and Edale in Peak District, and Hawkshead in Lake District.

Introduction

There's so many real ale's to choose from but my favourites are Black Sheep's Special Ale and Riggwelter, I like to drink stout, Porters and dark ales. My wife's favourite real ale's are Jennings. My dog Floss will drink anything!! Dax will not touch any type of alcohol.

Due to my health I haven't been drinking much lately but I am hopping to visit theWetherspoons Beer Festival (Thu 30th Oct - Sun 16th Nov).

Do you have dogs in which you prefer to take out walking with you? Well on this site you can get idea's as to where to take them and where to stay with them.

My dogs are Border Collie's ( Dax and Floss ) and they just love rambling up all those hills, but unlike me they are built for the job. They don't like the hot weather unless there's any water on the walk.
